About us

Julie Elliott, founder of Heritage Re-loved, has a varied background combining a wealth of experience in dressmaking, design, tutoring with knowledge and passion for all things vintage.

Traditionally, Heritage Re-loved is a quaint little shop that appropriately occupies a spot on the edge of the Wentworth Woodhouse estate, home to one of the largest houses in Europe and a popular local tourist attraction.  Previous to that, the business started out at the Elsecar Heritage Centre and it has grown to not only provide a wealth of vintage fashion and home but now sewing and craft workshops too.

Terry, Julie's partner, co-manages the business and up-cycles and creates much of the vintage home range from traditional tables and chairs to retro kitchen dressers and a unique, handmade driftwood range.

As well as stocking clothing, particularly from the 1930s, 40s and 50s, Julie often takes commissions for vintage handmade clothing.  Crafted from genuine vintage patterns and fabric and cut to a modern size, such as the coat pictured.

Each year, Heritage Re-loved tours various events Nationwide with a selection of vintage clothing, accessories and hats, often focussing on the 1940s both genuine and repro'.
